What is white noise?
White noise is a type of noise that is produced by combining sounds of all different frequencies together. The sound of white noise we hear as humans is the sound of all the frequencies between 20 and 20,000 Hz. So you're literally hearing around 20,000 different tones of sound all at the same time. White noise works by reducing the difference between background sounds and a “peak” sound, like a peaceful rhythem, giving you a better chance to sleep through it undisturbed. How does white noise work?
